Jayme Turns 35!

Yall we did a terrible job of taking pictures for Jaymes birthday. We were all too busy arguing over who was going to win to bother with the camera.	But anyhow, for Jayme's birthday, we decided to do something different this year and have a chili cookoff.	It all started with Jayme and Shane arguing over who has the best chili.	Well, that gave me a great idea! It was time for a chili cookoff!


We threw in the margarita mixoff because Shay's wedding is coming up and we needed to come up with a "signature" cocktail for her cocktail hour.	I really didn't think anyone would enter the Margarita Mixoff but it was just as popular as the Chili Cookoff!	The beginning of the party started with everyone betting on a horse race (everyone is seen here staring at the TV). I believe Stacy won the bet??? I didn't pay too much attention to the horse race as I was busy salivating on all the chili coming through my door.	We had a round 10 chili entries and let me tell you...they were GREAT!


We also had around 5 margarita entries and they were great too!	There were some really good ones!	Extra points went to those who (a) had a blue drink (since Shay's wedding colors are blue) (b) came up with a snazzy name for their drink.	The drinks were so good that Shay and Richard couldn't decide on just one!


So we will be having two drinks for Shay's cocktail hour (which we have now expanded to two hours since that's some of ours favorite part of a wedding plus Herb has some GREAT hors d' ouerves planned :)	The two drinks are named "Rich-O-Shay" and "Richay's Day".


		Cheers to the happy couple!!! No cold feet yall!	And cheers to Shane and Allison for a FANTASTIC cocktail!


Here are Lacy and Olivia with their adorable crowns and wands that Becky Montreuil gave them...thanks Becky!	What in the hell does Herb have in his hat????	So let me say again that we had some GREAT chili entries!	We had all kinds of chili...traditional, cajun, white, etc.


Everyone got to vote and it was a really hard decision.	In the end, Herb took the grand prize....	...and Jeff took 2nd (I know his secret ingredient but it will take big bucks to get it out of me:)	We finished off the night with a great big birthday cake...


Happy Birthday Jayme!	Next time I'll try to do less eating and drinking and more picture taking :-)
